GSS Group Inc. ("GSS") was founded in 1993 by two ex-IBMers with the vision of becoming a leading boutique solutions provider to clients in North America from its base in Toronto.

Upon its establishment, GSS initially served as a sales and marketing channel for software companies who had superior products but lacked adequate coverage in the North American milieu.

High Availability

High Availability (HA) offerings from Vision Solutions were among the first products GSS represented.  Today, GSS represents the Vision™, iTera™ and Lakeview™ HA product lines.  GSS remains Vision Solutions longest-serving Business Partner and frequently ranks among Vision's leading North American resellers.

IBM Business Partner

The company became an IBM Business Partner in the mid-1990s and has had the distinction of being awarded "Premier" status eight years straight.  Premier status is granted by IBM to only the most advanced and customer-focused of IBM's partners.

Data Warehouse Solutions Focus & Expertise

After delivering several custom data warehouse solutions that were hailed as successes by clients, the company elected to leverage this success by "codifying" the professional services-heavy component of any successful data warehousing initiative.

Initially, the company developed pre-packaged data marts for the JD Edwards ERP system.

Microsoft Business Intelligence Solutions

GSS then combined the lessons learned in building "productized" data mart / data warehouse solutions with the enterprise-level power and features of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and turned this into a purpose-built, innovative technology for rapidly building data marts from any ERP or CRM software — VIGILANCE XPress™ — allowing clients the ability to easily and quickly
